On behalf of the Executive Board and Board of Directors, I welcome you to the Northern California Asian Peace Officers Association website! Through our newly redesigned website, you can learn more about our organization, our history, and become a member or renew your membership. We hope to make the website a resource for our membership, and a place for regular updates and announcements regarding our events and the Officer Ronald Tsukamoto Memorial Scholarship.
On November 1, 2017, the NCAPOA’s founding president, Herbert Lee, passed away at the age of 84. His passing was a solemn reminder of the goals of our organization* from the very beginnings:
- A fraternal group dedicated to the interested and wellbeing of our members
- A service agency committed to assisting our ethnic communities
- To promote law enforcement as a career for youths
The challenges we face as peace officers are ever changing, yet some challenges and goals remain the same. The opportunity to share information, ideas, and techniques through outreach, training, and networking is invaluable to the communities we serve, to the criminal justice system, and to us as law enforcement.
I am happy to announce that The National Asian Peace Officers’ Association (NAPOA) will be holding their Annual NAPOA Training Symposium and Exposition in Las Vegas in 2020. We will be welcoming our fellow law enforcement officers from local, state, and federal agencies from across the county, as well as some of our international partners.
I take this opportunity to thank community members, our sponsors/partner, and our membership for your continued support and dedication. I am honored to serve as the President of The Northern California Asian Peace Officers Association, and as a peace officer in the State of California. Be safe.
